![]() ![]() There are already great photo gallery solutions out there which support Total CMS. Total CMS is a very young CMS and blogging solution, but we can already choose from some very clever addons. Because the client feel that he can use it from the start and do not have to learn some html, markdown etc.Įxample admin page of the Photostories Travel Foundation project. The possibilities are almost endless and let you archive a website to make your client happy. Even an explenation or images to some parts can be added to make it easier for a client to understand for what it is. Or if you want to integrate some parts of the admin pages in tabs, accordion parts, switches – build it. If you want several admin pages – build it. You can build and configure the login page and the admin part of the site like you or your client like it. I can not say often enough how great Total CMS integrates in websites. If you have to edit a text file and include html code, then it is often too much for clients. Not all users are computer freaks and are able to think in an abstract and technical way. Clients love this feature.Īnother great advantage is how the user can work with this system. This is great if you are building websites for clients, because you can include the complete corporate identity in the admin part. First this makes you struggle with your progress to start using it, but is has another benefit: You can build your admin panel like you want it to be. In Total CMS (and in Easy CMS as the smaller child of the family) you have to build your own admin panel. Other solutions have an admin panel where you can login and start writing your first blog post. On the first look there is a disadvantage in starting with Total CMS: There is no pre-built admin panel. Every aspect in the CMS or blog is a stack. ![]() One of the great things is the integration. There are so many CMS and blogging solutions out there in the RapidWeaver world today – why should you buy this one? The flexibility of Total CMS for the Backend If you are interested in learning more about responsive design, there is a category of tutorials dedicated to that topic here at RapidWeaver Classroom.Total CMS is a huge project and a big milestone for Joe Workman. It uses a responsive design to optimize the layout for all devices, and of course it is built with RapidWeaver. This website advertises my web design, RapidWeaver consulting and membership site development services. I’d also like to make a brief mention of the launch of the new website for my business, Websmith. If you would like your website’s visitors to share your website with their social networks, then the Share It Stack may be worth considering. The stack provides sharing buttons for a variety of social networks, and it is also highly customizable. The Share It Stack tutorial is found in the Blogging & Social category of the Add-Ons section. This detailed tutorial runs about 15 minutes in length in order to cover every setting for these stacks. It also comes with the Expose Image Pro stack, which is designed specifically for displaying photos. It is very flexible in that it can display most any kind of content, and its style is highly customizable. The Expose Stack tutorial is found in the Lightboxes category of the Add-Ons section, and it is a highly recommended solution if you are looking for a lightbox to display content on your website. I’ve added two new stacks tutorials - Expose and Share It - both from Joe Workman. This latest updates comes just in time for the holiday break. Happy Thanksgiving week to all of you who are in the U.S. ![]()
